New Ulm Police

• Spoke with a 37-year-old Fort Dodge, IA woman at a S. Broadway smoke shop Sunday afternoon who said she met a 43-year-old Fairfax man on a dating app Saturday. She told police her overnight bag was in the man’s SUV, he dropped her off at the smoke shop Sunday and never returned. Fairfax Police located the woman’s belongings at the man’s residence and turned them over to New Ulm Police who returned the bag to the woman. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a trespass complaint at Walmart at 12:27 p.m. Sunday. A Walmart assess protection employee told police a 29-year-old Mankato man was issued a previous trespass notice for past thefts. The suspect noticed the asset protection employee, abandoned a store cart full of items and left the store. A report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for trespass charge consideration.

• Attempted to stop a side by side all-terrain vehicle for failing to use a turn signal at 4:20 p.m. Friday on the 800 block, N. Broadway. The suspect vehicle fled about one and one-half miles before arriving at a residence. The driver, a 37-year-old New Ulm man, ran into the residence, ahead of officers before he was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of third-degree DWI, fleeing police by means other than a motor vehicle, fleeing a peace officer on foot and an Ignition Interlock program violation.

• Met a 15-year-old Rapid City, S.D. female who said her ex-boyfriend, a 16-year-old New Ulm male is disseminating nude photos of her to some of his friends. The female said his friends contacted her on social media with comments about the photos. A search warrant was conducted at the male’s home and evidentiary items were seized. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges including possession and dissemination of pornographic images of a minor.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Arrested a 53-year-old rural New Ulm man in Milford Township at 10:57 a.m. Sunday for an harassment restraining order violation involving an 88-year-old rural New Ulm man. No injuries or damage were reported.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Responded to a report of a dog biting another dog in a Sleepy Eye park at 10:59 a.m. Sunday. Police said the suspect dog had updated shots. No medical or veterinarian attention was sought. A report was done for documentation.
