New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7th and Minnesota St. at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday. A 2025 Subaru Outback driven by Jade Marie Gleisner, 37, New Ulm, was eastbound on 7th South and collided with a 2001 GMC Sonoma driven by Steven Bruce Engelby, 67, New Ulm, who was southbound on Minnesota St. and failed to stop for a stop sign. Gleisner had a possible knee injury. Damage was moderate disabling to both vehicles.

• Stopped a vehicle at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday. A New Ulm woman was found to have a driver’s license that was cancelled, inimical to public safety (IPS). A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Were dispatched to a pollinator park near the bike trail at 16th South and Minnesota St. at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday. The New Ulm Fire Department was also called. Police extinguished what appeared to be a negligent grass fire with a fire extinguisher. Personal items were found near the bike trail. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a juvenile trouble call at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday at Riverbend Area Learning Center, 1315 S. Broadway. A 12-year-old New Ulm male student kicked a door. A damage estimate was not available. A report was done for documentation.
