New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old St. Paul man with a cancelled drivers license-inimical to public safety Dec. 25. Police noticed an equipment violation and that the vehicle plates didn’t match. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County City Attorney’s Office.

• Talked to a 22-year-old New Ulm man Dec. 25 who said he was receiving threatening calls including threats to kill him and his parents. Officers called the number the calls came from and talked with a 45-year-old New Ulm man who denied making the calls but admitted the calls came from his phone. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a residence for a female having a mental health crisis Dec. 25. A 62-year-old New Ulm woman agreed to be transported to the New Ulm Medical Center. A report went to Brown County Human Services.

• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 10:44 p.m. Dec. 24 at CR 25/CR 13, Sigel Township. Police found three marijuana cartridges, marijuana wax, a glass pipe and open package of marijuana. A 41-year-old

Butterfield man was cited for open cannabis package in a motor vehicle. A report was done for documentation.

• A 64-year-old New Ulm man told police there was fraudulent activity including $96.21 in charges on his wife’s checking account at 2:38 p.m. Dec. 23. The man said he would report the charges to his local bank and close the checking accoun
