Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash report at 4:54 p.m. Thursday at U.S. Highway 14/CR 10, Home Township, Brown County. A 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 was driven southbound on CR 10 by Gerald Edward Traurig, 80, New Ulm, when he collided with a 2021 Ford Ecosport driven eastbound on Highway 14 by Cynthia Ann Bratland, 58, Hastings. Both drivers wore seat belts but were transported with non-life threatening injuries to North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale. Airbags deployed. Alcohol was not involved. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Sleepy Eye Ambulance, Police and State Patrol assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4:18 p.m. Friday at 3rd North and Broadway. A 2015 Audi Q5 driven by Cathleen Dvorak-Smith, 49, New Ulm, was at 3rd North and Broadway, attempted a left turn from 3rd North to travel south on Broadway and collided with a 2018 GMC Yukon driven by Karen Rolloff, 80, New Ulm, who was northbound on Broadway. Damage was moderate disabling to the left front and middle of the Audi and moderate to the front end of the GMC.

• Received an harassment restraining order (HRO) violation at 5:02 p.m. Friday from a 36-year-old New Ulm woman regarding a 47-year-old Gibbon man she said was calling and texting her. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for review.

• Received a call from a 67-year-old New Ulm man at 8:49 p.m. Friday who said a homeless 45-year-old New Ulm woman stole items from his residence including about $600 worth of coins and other collectibles. A report was done for documentation.
