New Ulm Police

• Responded to a report of a student with a THC vape pen at River Bend Educational District, 1315 S. Broadway at 2:50 pm. Feb. 15. The student was cited for cannabis possession. A report was done for documentation.

• Arrested a 64-year-old New Ulm man on the 400 block, Minnesota St. N. at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 15 on a Brown County warrant for failure to appear. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report was done for documentation.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a theft complaint from a 33-year-old Mulligan Township man at 6:59 a.m. Feb. 16. The man said there was an unauthorized charge of more than $2,500 on his health savings account debit card. The incident remains under investigation.

Sibley County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on CR 8 near 425th Avenue, Kelso Township, about 10 miles southeast of Gaylord at 5:20 p.m. Feb. 14. Kayla Kendricks, 34, Le Sueur, was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country east on Cr 8, lost control on a snow-covered road, left the road and came to a rest in the ditch. She had minor injuries and was transported to Ridgeview Le Sueur by Gaylord Ambulance. Kendricks wore a seat belt. The van was not damaged.

• Responded to a one-vehicle rollover on 330th Street (CR 8) near 533rd Avenue, Alfsborg Township, four miles southeast of Winthrop at 5:02 p.m. Feb. 14. Kirsten Kreni, 49, Springfield, lost control of a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan while eastbound on snow-covered CR 8. The vehicle rolled in the ditch. Kreni had minor injuries and refused to be transported to the hospital. She wore a seat belt. Vehicle damage was heavy. Lafayette Fire and Ambulance assisted. The crash is under investigation.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on CR 13 near 190th Street, New Auburn Township, four and one-half miles east of New Auburn at 5:18 p.m. Feb. 14. Kari Hansen, 48, Gaylord, lost control of a 2018 Dodge Journey while northbound on CR 13, left road, spun out, entered the ditch and rolled. Hansen had minor injuries. She wore a seat belt and was transported to Arlington Sibley Medical Center by Arlington Ambulance. The van had minor, disabling damage. The New Auburn Fire Dept. assisted.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Reported the theft of two road closed signs in Paxton Township near the intersection of 310th Street and Ocean Avenue. It appears the signs were taken between Feb. 9-11. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 507-637-4036.
