New Ulm Police

• A 32-year-old Montevideo man told police at 5:57 p.m. Nov. 18 that he was working at Walmart when a 20-year-old Sleepy Eye female tried to pepper spray him. The female accused the man of stalking her throughout the store. The female was escorted out of the store and will be mailed a trespass notice banning her from the store. A report was done for documentation.,

• Arrested a 30-year-old Tracy woman on a Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) Apprehension and Detention Order at 4:52 p.m., Nov. 20 in the New Ulm City Cemetery. The woman was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center. A report was sent to the DOC.

• Stopped a vehicle for expired registration at 11:05 p.m. Nov. 20 at State Street and 4th St. South. A vehicle search produced marijuana and methamphetamine. A 47-year-old Kasota woman was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. Reports were sent to Brown and Goodhue County Probation and the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a domestic call that was physical at 1:27 p.m. Nov. 21 at 2412 N. Broadway. A 20-year-old New Ulm female was arrested for assaulting a 28-year-old New Ulm male. He did not seek medical attention. The female was transported to the Brown County Jail and issued a citation. Reports were sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office, Brown County Human Services and Committee Against Domestic Abuse (CADA).

• A 22-year-old New Ulm female told police at 7:04 p.m. Nov. 21 that she is being harassed by her ex-boyfriend, a 21-year-old New Ulm male. The female was advised to consider getting an Harassment Restraining Order (HRO).

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without reported injuries at 16th North and Garden Street at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 22. A 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Mary Caauwe, 80, New Ulm, was stopped at a stop sign on 16th St. N., then began to turn south onto Garden Street when it collided with a 2014 Ram truck driven by Brian Rahe, 65, New Ulm, who was northbound on Garden. Both drivers wore seat belts. Damage was moderate-disabling to the rear driver’s side of the Jeep and moderate-functional to the front of the Ram.

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 7:42 p.m. Nov. 22 at Broadway and South Bridge St. A 2002 Subaru Impreza driven by Chase Seifert, 17, New Ulm, was northbound on Broadway and hit a deer on the road. Damage was severe to the front of the vehicle. Seifert wore a seat belt.
