Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash 5:02 p.m. Nov. 7 at the intersection of TH 15 and the Fort Road, Lafayette Township, Nicollet County. David James Ham, 56, Litchfield, was driving a 2015 Chevy Silverado eastbound on the Fort Road when he collided with a 2004 Peterbilt semi driven northbound on TH 15 by Gavin Scott McCloud, 27, Hutchinson. Ham was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. McCloud was not injured. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Allina EMS, the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office and Lafayette Fire Dept. assisted.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a suspicious activity call at 150th St. and CR 10, Albin Township at 8:42 a.m. Nov. 7. An older Ford truck with scrap metal was found with a broken passenger window. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a crash report at 2:45 a.m. Nov. 8 at CR 25/CR 13, Sigel Township. A vehicle driven by Joe Michael Ek, 29, N. Mankato, collided with a deer. The deer died. Vehicle damage was major. No personal injuries. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 16th Street North and Franklin St. at 11 a.m. Nov. 5. A 2018 Buick Enclave driven northbound by Mary Berle, 87, New Ulm, failed to yield to a westbound 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Alan Woitas, 36, New Ulm. Damage was moderate to the driver side rear of the Ford and moderate to the front end of the Buick. Both drivers wore seat belts.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Received a burglary report at Hardee’s, 320 W. Main at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 7. A store employee said an individual entered the building and took a drawer with $288 cash and walked out. Police reviewed surveillance video and are waiting for more video from Hardee’s corporate office. A report was sent to investigators.
