New Ulm Police
• Responded to suspicious activity report from Citizens Bank Minnesota at at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at 105 Minnesota St. N. A female in her 20s came into the bank asking to exchange a $100 bill she claimed went through the wash. A bank employee said the bill was not real. The female said she didn’t know where the bill came from and left the bank. Police obtained possession of the bill and are investigating the incident.
• Responded to an Express Lane theft received Nov. 1. Police viewed surveillance video of a female concealing a stainless steel tumbler valued at $20. A clerk obtained a license plate number of the suspect vehicle. The suspect was identified and interviewed. A citation was mailed to a 30-year-old New Ulm woman. A report was done for documentation.
• Responded to a one-vehicle-pedestrian crash at Garden and 9th St. N. at 7:20 a.m. Nov. 3. A 2013 GMC Sierra driven by Craig Boie, 61, New Ulm, was southbound on Garden St. when he collided with Susan Rose Block, 57, New Ulm, who crossed the road. Boie told police he saw a dog on the west side of Garden St., when he looked back on the road, he struck the woman. Her injuries are suspected to be serious. There was minor damage to the truck hood. Police are investigating the crash.
• Responded to Minnesota Valley Funeral home, 218 N. Broadway at 10:07 a.m. Nov. 3. It appears a window was shot with a BB or pellet gun in the past two or three days. Damage was estimated at $2,500. A report was done for documentation.
