Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 5:55 a.m. Jan. 20 on snow and ice on TH 68, Prairieville Township, Brown County. Rose M. Metzler, 23, Lake Crystal, was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra eastbound on TH 68 and Scott S. Eckstein, 44, Sleepy Eye was driving a 2017 Ford F350 westbound on TH 68 when they collided. Metzler and two passengers, Stella J. Gemmill, Sleepy Eye; and Matthew B. Robinson, 2, Lake Crystal plus Eckstein were transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Everyone wore seat belts. Airbags deployed in both vehicles. Alcohol was not involved. Sleepy Eye Police and Ambulance and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries on TH 19 and CR 4, Transit Township, Sibley County. Catherine J. Stoll, 17, Winthrop, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer eastbound on TH 19, left the road and rolled. She was transported to New Ulm Medical Center. She wore a seat belt, alcohol was not involved. Winthrop Police and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
New Ulm Police
• Performed a welfare check at 10:53 a.m. Jan. 19 on the 200 block Minnesota St. S. regarding a nine-year-old boy with numerous truancy issues. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received an harassment complaint at 11:11 a.m. Jan. 19 at Turner Hall, 102 State St. S. regarding a former employee, a 37-year-old New Ulm female making false statements about management. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to an assault report at 2:56 p.m. Jan. 19 on the 900 block Jefferson St. N. regarding a 62-year-old New Ulm man allegedly swapping a one-year-old child. The man denied the report, saying it was retaliation to a an earlier police report. Reports were sent to Brown County Human Services and the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Received a stolen license plate report at 8:12 a.m. Jan. 20 at Linderhof Apartments, 1100 16th St. N. sometime in the past week. License plate numbers were entered with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Vehicle Services list of stolen license plates. A report was done for documentation.
