New Ulm Police
• Received a phone scam report from a 76-year-old New Ulm man at 2:05 p.m. Jan. 10. The man sent $500 worth of gift cards to a caller. A report was done for documentation.
• Responded to a vaping report involving two 16-year-old males at New Ulm High School at 8:34 a.m. Jan. 10. A report is not yet complete.
• Received an assault report at 6:13 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Brown County Evaluation Center, 510 Front St. N. involving a 29-year-old homeless man assaulting a 32-year-old New Ulm man. The homeless man was cited for 5th-degree misdemeanor assault. The victim did not seek medical attention. A report was done for documentation.
• Received an HRO (Harassment Restraining Order) violation report from a 37-year-old New Ulm woman regarding unwanted messages from a 41-year-old New Ulm man at 4:13 p.m. Jan. 9 on the 300 block, N. Broadway. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
