New Ulm Police

• Received a report at 8:42 a.m. Monday of explosions heard from New Ulm Steel and Recycling, 218 19th South St. A report was done for documentation with a copy sent to New Ulm City Hall.

• Stopped a vehicle without headlights or taillights on at 10:45 pm. Aug. 5 at Highway 14 and N. Jefferson St. A 16-year-old New Ulm man admitted to having marijuana items and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Observed a 3-year-old with a dog but no other adult at 12:51 p.m Aug. 6 on the 400 block of 19th North Street. The child’s father later called and the father and child were united. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services and done for documentation.

• Received a complaint of a vehicle parked for too long near 12th North Street and North Spring Street at 6:09 p.m. Aug. 4. The vehicle was impounded. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a suspicious activity report at 9:32 p.m. Aug. 4 on the 600 block of South Jefferson Street. A 36-year-old New Ulm man with mental issues was involved. Nobody was hurt, no damage reported. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Receive a theft report of truck license plates at 7:39 a.m. Aug. 5 on the 900 block of North German Street. The license plates of JGY 002 were entered as stolen with the Minnesota Department of Vehicle Services (DVS).

• Received a theft report of vehicle license plates HHM 594 at 1:53 p.m. Aug 5 at 2833 S. Bridge St. The plates were valued at $550 and entered as stolen with DVS.
