New Ulm Police

• A 55-year-old New Ulm man in the Faribault Correctional Facility reported at 3:46 p.m. May 5 that he is the victim of Social Security fraud and his ex-girlfriend, a 52-year-old New Ulm woman, is making financial transactions with his debit card. A report was sent to investigators.

• Received an assault report at 6:43 p.m. May 5 at the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. The victim, a 40-year-old New Ulm woman working at detox, said she was assaulted and her shirt was ripped by a 34-year-old St. Paul man. A report for consideration of fifth-degree assault was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Assisted Sleepy Eye Police at 1:41 a.m. May 6 with a Salvation Army voucher for one night lodging for a 24-year-old Judson man. A report was done for documentation.

Sibley County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to an all-terrain vehicle crash at 8:16 p.m. May 5 near the intersection of 248th Street and 381st Avenue, southwest of Arlington in Arlington Township. Christopher Dahl, 21, Arlington, lost control of the ATV after becoming distracted. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Assisting agencies included the Minnesota State Patrol, Arlington Police, Fire and Ambulance and Mayo One.
