• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14 and 280th Avenue, Prairieville Township, Brown County at 3:03 p.m. Jan. 18, 2022. Roger H. Schiro, 63, Gibbon was driving a 2003 Freightliner semi truck eastbound on Highway 14 when he collided with Janette A. Omarron, 69, Sleepy Eye, who was driving a 2015 Ford Edge, stopped at a stop sign on 280th Avenue. The semi went off the road to the right, into the ditch and hit the Ford Edge on the driver’s side. Schiro was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Omarron was not injured. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Sleepy Eye Police and Ambulance assisted.
