New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries in an alley between 100 North Broadway and State Street N on snow and ice at 8:53 a.m. Jan. 15. Kayla R. Bowen, 33, New Ulm, was driving a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica south through an alley when Andrew J. Steinbach, 28, New Ulm, backed up a 2012 Chevy Cruz from a parking spot and hit the passenger side of the Chrysler. Damage was very minor to both vehicles.
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash without injuries at 601 Washington St. S. in icy conditions at 9:01 p.m. Jan. 16. Paula Kral, 39, New Ulm, was turning left onto Washington St., lost control and hit a parked car. Damage was minor.
• Arrested a 37-year-old New Ulm man on a Minnesota Dept. of Corrections warrant on North Jefferson Street at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 13. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.
• Performed a welfare check at Vogel Fieldhouse, 122 Garden St. S. at 4:43 p.m. Jan. 13. A 14 month-old child was left in a vehicle in the parking lot. The child was OK. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
Springfield Police
• Responded to a theft report at Clay’s Drive In Liquor, 321 Rock St. E. A bad check for $130.90 was passed. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
