New Ulm Police

•Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries in icy conditions with poor visibility on TH 15 and the 7th St. N. roundabout at 12:40 p.m. December 23. A 2007 Honda Accord LX driven by Nicholas A. Goodman, 28, Evanston, Il. was westbound on 7th North, entered the roundabout, lost control, slid sideways and stalled. A 2016 Nissan Maxima driven by Rick L. Nissen, 67, Rogers, was westbound, entered the roundabout and collided with the Honda, which was demolished. The Nissan had moderate damage. Both drivers wore seat belts.

•Received a $70.75gas drive-off theft report at Freedom Valu Center, 627 Minnesota St. N. at 9:46 a.m. Dec. 24. An unidentified man fled in a white Ford F150 pickup with tonneau cover. A report was done for documentation.

•Stopped a vehicle at 8thN. and Broadway at 3:07 p.m. Friday for suspended license plates. A 34-year-old New Ulm woman was also cited for no insurance, failure to transfer title and driving with a revoked driver’s license. The vehicle was impounded. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

•Responded to a two-vehicle crash on Ranch Avenue, Morgan Township at 12:53 p.m. Dec. 23. A 2007 GMC driven by James F. Larsen, 68, Morgan, was northbound when it collided with a 2010 Ford F150 driven by Jeffrey M. Stelzer, 47, Morgan, who was southbound. Both vehicles had disabling damage. One passenger in Larsen’s vehicle, Lailee M. Larsen, had suspected minor injuries.

Minnesota State Patrol

•Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries on snow and ice on U.S. Highway 14, east of Nicollet, Nicollet Township, at 3:18 p.m. Dec. 24. A 2009 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Jessica N. Green, 27, Marshall, was eastbound, spun out and entered the median, colliding with a 2005 Dodge Dakota driven by Jodi A. Fryer, 59, Brookings, S.D., in the center median, awaiting a tow. Fryer was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Nicollet Fire Dept. and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted.

•Responded to a one-vehicle crash on snow and ice at 2:01p.m. Dec. 23 on TH 22 at 125th Street, Glencoe Township, McLeod County. A 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Laura Lee M. Olson, 54, New Auburn, was northbound when it left the road. Olson was transported to Hutchinson Health Hospital. She wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Glencoe Fire Dept. and Allina Ambulance assisted.

•Responded to a tow-vehicle crash on snow and ice on TH 19, Transit Township, Sibley County at 2:22 p.m. Dec. 23. A 2018 Peterbuilt tractor driven by Patrick J. Hjorth, 73, N. St. Paul, was westbound on TH 19 when he collided with a westbound 2013 GMC Sierra driven by Casey L. Edwards, 44, Winthrop. She was transported to Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center, Arlington with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Winthrop Police and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

•Responded to a one-vehicle crash on TH 14 on snow and ice near Sleepy Eye at 11:07 a.m. Dec. 23. A 2007 Ford F150 driven by Jennifer A. Suess, 42, San Marcos, Texas, was westbound on TH 14, lost control and rolled into the ditch. Sleepy Eye Fire and Ambulance assisted. Suess was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. She wore a seat belt and alcohol was not involved. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Sleepy Eye Police assisted.

•Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries on TH 15 near 30th St., southwest of Brownton at 4:41 p.m. Dec. 23. A 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by Richard Battig, 72, St. Joseph collided with a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Teresa Uecker, 48, Brownton.
