New Ulm Police

• Received a welfare check request at 9:49 p.m. Dec. 17 regarding a 50-year-old New Ulm man living in a camper at 1127 Front St. S. Police said the suspect was in violation of an ordinance. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Received a domestic assault call from a 65-year-old New Ulm woman, 613 6th St. N. at 7:50a.m. Dec. 18. The woman said she was assaulted by her 30-year-old son. Police said the woman had some bruising on her arms that did not appear to have happened recently. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Received a scam/fraud report at from a resident who said he got a call from someone asking for vehicle information. The man said he was not out any money but gave some personal information to the caller. A report was done for documentation.

Sibley County Sheriff

• Received a two-vehicle crash report with injuries at 1:34 p.m. Dec. 14 three miles southeast of Buffalo Lake, at the intersection of CR 22 and 180th Street. A FED EX van driven by Michael W. Mickelson, 60, Shakopee, ws southbound on CR 22 when it collided with a vehicle driven by Leslie A. Mellies, 62, Stewart, who was westbound on 180th St. Mellies was transported to Glencoe Regional Hospital by Buffalo Lake Ambulance. Both vehicles were demolished. Buffalo Lake Police, Fire and Ambulance assisted.
