New Ulm Police

• Served an 18-year-old New Ulm man at 1227 State St. S. with an arrest and detention order at 1:34 p.m. Thursday for a probation violation. The man was transported to Prairie Lakes Juvenile Detention Center, Willmar.

• Were called to the New Ulm Econo Lodge, 1901 S. Broadway at 6:17 a.m. Friday and found a 45-year-old Mankato man deceased. Police said foul play was not suspected.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries on Highway 14, Courtland Township, Nicollet County at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 12. A 2004 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Hunter D. Jongeward, 21, St. Cloud, was westbound on Highway 14 when it hit a 2019 Ram Promaster 1500 van head-on, that was eastbound, driven by Joseph J. Blanchette, 47, Prior Lake. Blanchette was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato with life-threatening injuries. Jongeward was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. Airbags deployed in both vehicles. Both drivers wore seat belts and alcohol was not involved. The Minnesota DNR, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Courtland Fire/Rescue and Allina Ambulance assisted.
