Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on U.S. Highway 14, Courtland Township, Nicollet County at 11:46 a.m. Thursday. A 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 21-year-old St. Cloud person was westbound and collided with an eastbound, 2019 Ram Promaster 1500 van driven by a 47-year-old individual on snow and ice. Airbags deployed in both vehicles. The Minnesota DNR, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Courtland Fire/Rescue and Allina Ambulance assisted.
New Ulm Police
• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at Center and Jefferson Streets at 1:09 p.m. Tuesday. A 2001 Buick Century driven by Anthony Groebner, 17, Hanska, rear-ended a 1994 GMC Sonoma driven by Pam Lepke, 54, New Ulm, who was westbound on Center and slowed to turn left. Damage was moderate to both vehicles.
Renville County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a report of a one-vehicle crash on County Road (CR) 17, about 2 miles west of U.S. Highway 71 in Renville County and 2 miles south of Olivia at 12:08 p.m. Nov. 12. A 2003 Ford Ranger driven by Leeann Hankel, 51, Olivia, lost control on an icy road, entered the ditch and overturned, causing minor injuries. She was transported to Health Partners Olivia by Olivia Ambulance Service. The Minnesota State Patrol and Renville County Sheriff’s Office assisted. The crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
• Received a report of a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of CR 5 and 720th Avenue, Renville County, 5 miles north of Franklin, at 9:16 a.m. Nov. 12. A 2000 Chrysler 300 driven by Connie Martinez, 61, Fairfax, went out of control on an icy road and entered the ditch, causing minor injuries. Martinez was transported to Health Partners Olivia by Carris Health Ambulance Service. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted. The crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
