New Ulm Police

• Received a three-vehicle crash report without injuries at Highland Avenue and U.S. Highway 14 at 8:55 a.m. Friday. A 2008 car driven by Rosalind Lindmeyer, 77, New Ulm, was stopped at a stop sign on Highway 14 and Highland Avenue, facing north. She said she looked east and west and began driving forward when she was hit at a right angle by a 2004 van driven by Shane Harazin, 43, New Ulm, who was westbound on Highway 14. The crash caused Harazin to collide with another vehicle driven by Patrick Doyle, 65, Sleepy Eye, who was stopped at the stop sign on Highland Avenue, facing south. All vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

• Received a call about a 77-year-old Lafayette man slumped over in a vehicle at the Econo Lodge, 1901 S. Broadway at 4:04 p.m. Thursday. The man refused medical attention and went to his motel room. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Received a call from Brown County Human Services about a two-year-old at 1520 N. Broadway at 5:01 p.m. Thursday. The child was placed in emergency temporary foster care.

• Performed a welfare check on a 33-year-old New Ulm man at 1301N.German at 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The man refused all services and returned to a rural Springfield residence. He said he’d call police in Springfield if he needed help.

• Stopped a vehicle at 20th South and Valley at 12:35 a.m. Two 20-year-old Mankato men were arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail for controlled substance possession after substances were found in the vehicle.

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at U.S. Highway 14 and Cemetery Avenue at 10:55 a.m. Saturday. A 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by Kimberly K.Fox, 52, Sanborn, was eastbound on Highway 14 in the inside lane when she collided with a 2012 Volkswagon Jetta driven by Antonella M. Adams, 18, New Ulm, who was also eastbound on Highway 14 in the outside lane. Damage was minor to both vehicles. Both drivers wore seat belts.

Sibley County

Sheriff’s Office

• Reported a one-vehicle crash near 34566 170th St. Hamburg at 10:32 a.m. Sunday. A 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Anna Schnabel, 18, Hamburg, was eastbound on 170th St. when she lost control and slid into a drainage ditch. She wore a seat belt and was not injured.

McLeod County

Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a vehicle in the ditch near U.S. Highway 212 and CR 7, east of Stewart at 7:46 a.m. Friday. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. A deputy cleared with a report.

• Responded to a one-vehicle rollover on 100th Street along with the Brownton Fire Dept. and Allina Ambulance at 7:40 p.m. Friday. A 2014 Nissan Maxima driven by Eric Habisch, 37, Brownton was arrested for probable cause DWI and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. A passenger was transported to Hutchinson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

• Observed a fire on 90th Street, northeast of Brownton at 8:25 p.m. Sunday. The owner told a deputy it was a controlled burn. The deputy cleared without a report.

Comfrey Police Dept.

• Received two insufficient check reports from the Comfrey Bar & Grill, 109 Brown St. E., at1:47 and 1:51 p.m. Monday. One check was for about $50, the other $600. Reports will be sent to the Comfrey City Attorney and Brown County Attorney’s Office.
