New Ulm Police
• Responded to a domestic call between a 24-year-old New Ulm man and 38-year-old New Ulm woman at 214 N. Garden St. at 3:54 p.m. Friday. The woman was injured but did not seek medical treatment. The man was taken to New Ulm Medical Center and placed on emergency hold for mental health issues. A report for a domestic abuse charge was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to a disturbance call at 1107 S. Minnesota at 1:09 a.m. Saturday. A 27-year-old New Ulm woman was found passed out behind the steering wheel of a vehicle. She was arrested for DWI and had to be restrained before she was taken to New Ulm Medical Center. A report for consideration of DWI, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at Broadway and 18th S. St. at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. A 2015 Ford F150 driven by Chris Sampson, 29, Ramseur, N.C. collided with a 2014 Kia Forte driven by Shayne Buwalda, 20, New Ulm at the intersection. Damage was heavy to the Ford and minor to the Kia. Both drivers wore seat belts.
