New Ulm Police
• A 66-year-old New Ulm man told police he parked his vehicle at a Bloomington Park ‘N Fly lot Monday, March 2 and lost two personal checks after using the lot’s valet service. The man reported the checks out of sequence that were written to a man for $3,000; and to woman for $2,500. Police are working to solve the case with Park ‘N Fly and the New Ulm man.
• Received animal complaints at 10:14 p.m. March 6 at 1317 Minnesota St. N. Police investigated the residence and found five dogs and a pig inside. The resident was warned that they had two weeks to get rid of the pig and dogs over the allowable limit of three.
State Patrol
• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 5:52 a.m. Sunday on State Highway 5 at Sibley County Road 13, Dryden Township. A 2013 Nissan Altima driven by Benjamin H. Sosa, 48, Andover, was southbound on CR 13 when it collided with a westbound 2014 Dodge Charger driven by Pamela J. Middendorf, 56, Glencoe. Sosa was transported to an Arlington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Middendorf was not injured. Airbags deployed in the Nissan. Both drivers wore seat belts. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Ridgeview Ambulance and Arlington hospital assisted.
