Sheriffs’ Office

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on CR 8, just east of State Highway 5. A 2015 Chevy Suburban driven by Robert Santaella, 29, New Ulm was westbound on CR 8, tried to make a U-turn and collided with an eastbound 2014 Chevy Malibu driven by Dominick Ramirez, 17, Green Isle. The Malibu went into the ditch. A Suburban passenger, Allison Santaella, was transported to a local hospital for injury evaluation. Both vehicles had moderate damage. Everyone involved wore seat belts. Damage was moderate both both vehicles. The Lafayette Fire Dept. and Ambulance assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at Center and Washington Street at 5:17 p.m. A 2007 pickup driven by Joshua Friesner, 30, New Ulm, was southbound, stopped at a stop sign on Washington Street, pulled forward to cross Center and collided with a 2017 car driven by Ladonna Hoffmann, 64, Sleepy Eye. Friesner said he didn’t see the car. Hoffmann reported a possible injury and was transported by ambulance to the New Ulm Medical Center. Damage was disabling to both vehicles.
