New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at South Broadway and Bridge Street at 7:55 a.m. Thursday. A 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Luke Piotter, 31, Sleepy Eye, was northbound on Broadway, ahead of a 2005 Acura driven by Ramadoss Vijayasankar, 50, Sioux Falls, S.D., when a vehicle in front of Piotter stopped fast to turn right onto Bridge Street, causing Piotter and Vijayasankar to stop quickly. Piotter was rear-ended, causing minimal damage to the truck. Damage was minor to the Acura. There was some snow on the road.

State Patrol

• Received a one-vehicle crash report on U.S. Highway 212 and Orange Ave., Sumter Township, McLeod County at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday. A 2006 Ford pickup driven by David J. Resch, 68, Glencoe, was eastbound on Highway 212, left the road and rolled into the ditch. Resch was transported to Glencoe Regional Health Services with non-life threatening injuries. The Brownton Fire Dept., McLeod County Sheriff’s Office and Allina Ambulance assisted.
