State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at Highway 15 and Nicollet County Road 5, Lafayette Township, at 5:39 p.m. Friday. A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jacob M. Helget, 24, New Ulm, was northbound on Highway 15 when it collided with a 1952 GMC truck driven by Richard C. Kral, 76, New Ulm, who was westbound on CR 5. Kral was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Chevrolet, Molly E. Helget, 24, New Ulm, was transported New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Jacob Helget had non-life threatening injuries and was not transported. Assisting were the Brown and Nicollet County Sheriff’s Offices, New Ulm Police, Allina Ambulance, Life Link and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at 20th Street South and German Street at 2 p.m. Nov. 7. A 2019 Kia Forte driven by Rebecca L. Rasche, 28, Edina, was in the outside lane of 20th Street South, eastbound near German Street when it collided with a 2014 Lexus RX driven by Judith A. Kopp, 77, New Ulm, who was in the inside lane of 20th Street South, ahead of the Kia. Rasche said Kopp had her right blinker on but did not change lanes until she was about to pass it and the vehicles collided. Damage was minor to the Lexus and moderate, disabling to the Kia.

• Arrested a 38-year-old New Ulm woman on a warrant at Happy Joe’s Pizza, 1700 N. Broadway, at 4:18 p.m. Saturday.
