New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries on North Broadway on the 100 block at 3:16 p.m. Monday. A 2010 Ford Taurus driven by Ally Steffensmeier, 17, was traveling on North Broadway when it rear-ended a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Heidi Tanley, 31. Tanley had slowed for traffic in front of her as Steffenmeier was looking to make a lane change, looked over her shoulder and then collided with Tanley’s vehicle as it slowed. Tanley’s vehicle received light damage to the left side of its rear end and Steffensmeier’s vehicle received moderate damage to its front end.

• Received a report of vandalism at the soccer fields near Miller Park Monday. A vehicle had driven on the sod and damaged the field. Damages are estimated at $500 according to New Ulm Park and Rec. The vehicle tracks did not appear fresh and are thought to be about two weeks old.
