New Ulm Police

• Responded to Smiley’s Tavern, 425 State St. N. at 3:28 p.m. Thursday. A 70-year-old New Ulm man attempted to get into a vehicle, officers stopped to talk to him, he became belligerent and aggressive towards them before he was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center, detox division.

• Responded to a verbal domestic situation at 8:42 p.m. Thursday at 1100 16th St. N. a 28-year-old New Ulm man and 32-year-old New Ulm woman, both on probation, were uncooperative with officers. A report was sent to the Brown County Probation Office.

• Responded to U.S. Highway 14 west, near the County Road 12 intersection at 9:32 p.m. Thursday where a 33-year-old Springfield man was walking in the rain. He was found to have an apprehension and detention order for a probation violation, was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
