New Ulm Police

• Received a theft report from Subway, 1404 S. Broadway at 8:28 a.m. Friday. A former employee reportedly took an undetermined amount of cash from September to November 2018 at the downtown and S. Broadway Subway outlets. The report remains under investigation.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Took a theft report of 15 pills from a Sleepy Eye Care Center resident between Nov. 29, 2018 and Jan. 2. No further information was available.

Sibley County

Sheriff’s Office

• Advised of a one-vehicle crash three miles northeast of Green Isle on 351st Avenue, just south of 158th Street at 12:12 p.m. Jan. 2. Elsie Silseth, 21, Norwood Young America, was northbound in a 2007 Pontiac G6 that went out of control on an ice-covered gravel road, entered the east ditch and hit several small trees. Silseth and her 14-year-old passenger were not injured. Both wore seat belts. Vehicle damage was moderate.

Minnesota

State Patrol

• A car and tractor collided at the intersection of Highway 22 and Sibley County Road 67 in Dryden township, Sibley County, at around 5 p.m. Friday.

Crystal Ann Devaelminck, 36, of Gaylord, was traveling on Highway 22 in a 2007 Ford Fusion. Jerod Randall Spaude, 38, of Brownton, was eastbound on County Road 67 on a 1997 John Deere tractor. Spaude attempted to turn north on Highway 22 and struck Devaelminck’s car.

Devaelminck, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken to Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. Acohol was not involved in the accident.
