New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at 10:06 a.m. Thursday. A 2000 Ford E150 van driven by Carroll Netsuke, 73, New Ulm, was southbound on Highway 14 at 19th North Street when he was hit by a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Donald Loeck, 84, New Ulm, who was stopped eastbound at 19th North, entered the intersection. Damage was moderate to the front end of the Chevy and light to the side of the Ford. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 7:52 a.m. Thursday at Broadway and 4th South Street. A 2005 Chevy Malibu driven by Loreen Bourn, 53, New Ulm, was southbound on Broadway between 4th and 5th South Street, when she lost control on ice and collided with a light pole in the median. Damage was extensive to the passenger side of the car. Bourn wore a seat belt.

Sibley County Sheriff

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash about 12 miles northeast of Gaylord on CR 13 near 162nd Street at 1:48 p.m. Dec. 31. Tim Britz, 60, Courtland was driving a 2000 Chevy Silverado northbound on CR 13, following a Sibley County plow truck, saw the vehicle in front of him slow because the plow truck slowed. Britz skidded on ice, went into the shoulder to avoid colliding with the vehicle in front of him. The vehicle behind ritz was a 2013 Lincoln driven by Ruben E. Escobedo, 46, Glencoe, who tried to slow down, slid on ice and hit the rear end of a trailer Britz was pulling. Britz’ trailer had some damage. The Lincoln had moderate damage.
