One person was injured in an accident Oct. 17 in Renville County.

At approximately 5:46 a.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle crash, which had occurred on 350th Street, approximately 1/8 mile south of 770th Avenue, or 5 miles south of Olivia, in Norfolk Township.

The preliminary crash investigation revealed that a 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by Misty Brooks, 26, of Olivia, had been travelling north on 350th Street. Members of the Olivia Fire Department and Olivia Ambulance Service were able to extricate Brooks from the vehicle and she was transported to Renville County Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Brooks was later flown from Renville County Hospital to North Memorial Hospital by North Air Care. Macik did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
