New Ulm Police Department • Tuesday at 5:53 p.m. police noticed a man known to have a warrant for his arrest on the block of 1600 North Street. During the arrest, the 33-year-old New Ulm man claimed that he was lawfully carrying a handgun. Following a serial number run, the gun was found to have been entered as stolen in 2023. New Ulm Police •Police responded to report of suspicious activity 3:15 p.m. Monday to Wal-Mart for a report of a female that was smoking in the store and harassing both customers and employees. The 48-year-old Detroit Lakes women was issued a trespass notice and was escorted out the store by Officers.  Report sent to Human Services.  •Police spoke with an 80-year-old New Ulm women Tuesday, who stated she was scammed out of $23,000.  The women open an email that was alerting her to her apple pay account being charged for a porn site in China.  She clicked a link in the email ...

•Police stopped a vehicle at 12:57 a.m. Saturday at 9th N. and Franklin for suspicious activity.  The driver, a 44-year-old New Ulm man, did not posses a valid drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.  Report sent to the City Attorney for the consideration of Driving without a valid license (Cancelled Inimical to Public Safety).  •Police stoped vehicle at 4:39 p.m. Saturday on 19thst St N. and Minnesota St. for an equipment violation.  A strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle.  Signs of impairment were notice ...

New Ulm Police •Police took a report 3:10 p.m. Tuesday from 24-year-old New Ulm woman who fell victim to a scam.  The caller identified himself as a postal inspector and stated he was investigating mail fraud through someone taking out a Capital One credit card in name. The women did notice a credit card from Capital One that had been opened in her name. The male caller was asking for additional information. New Ulm Police Department • Police responded to a verbal domestic call at 4:32 p.m. from the 2200 block of North Broadway. Responders determined that one individual involved was intoxicated and had driven to the residence prior to the call. Officers arrested a 42-year-old New Ulm man and took him to the Brown County Jail. • Police received a call at 12:48 p.m. from the block of 600 North Street from a 48-year-old woman who said a 50-year-old man from Tucson, Arizona sent him emails, violating an Order of Protection. A citation for violation was mailed to the man.

New Ulm Police Department • Police stopped a 34-year-old Mankato man on 7th N and German Street Saturday at 1:23 am for poor driving. The man showed signs of impairment. Following transport to New Ulm Medical Center for a urine test, the man was transported to Brown County Jail.  • A 52-year-old New Ulm man reported to police at 7:30 am Saturday that a fish finder was stolen from his truck.
