Nebraska senator faces expulsion vote

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska lawmakers are considering a motion to expel Sen. Dan McKeon over allegations of inappropriate behavior. The complaint involves a sexually-charged comment and inappropriate touching at a party last year. If expelled, McKeon would be the first Nebraska senator removed for misconduct. A report found his conduct violated workplace harassment policy but didn’t meet legal thresholds for harassment. McKeon has pleaded not guilty to a related misdemeanor charge. The Legislature’s Executive Board will hold a hearing Monday, with a vote of the full Legislature soon likely in the days after.
