Shooter planned Brown attack for months

BOSTON (AP) — The U.S. Department of Justice reveals that Claudio Neves Valente, identified as the shooter who killed two Brown University students and an MIT professor, had planned the attack for months. Neves Valente, a former Brown student and Portuguese national, left behind videos confessing to the murders. He was found dead in a New Hampshire storage facility on Dec. 18. The shootings occurred on Dec. 13 and 15. In the videos, Neves Valente admits to planning the attack for at least six semesters but does not provide a motive. He expressed no remorse and described his actions as “a little incompetent.”
