Red Cross declares crisis

The American Red Cross is now declaring a national blood crisis. A blood supply crisis is the most extreme blood shortage, posing a concerning risk to patient care. Doctors will be forced to make difficult decisions about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more blood products become available. American Red Cross inventories of the most-needed blood types — including type O — are now at crisis levels. NU Chamber welcomes new Design Home Center owners

The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce recently visited Design Home Center to congratulate Andy Klingler and Scott Juni on becoming the company’s new owners. The transition followed a carefully planned five-year succession, with longtime owner Brian Fischer retiring this June after helping ensure a smooth handoff. Both Andy and Scott have deep roots with the company. Scott has spent 30 years at Design Home Center, beginning in deliveries through an agricultural program before moving into sales.
