NUAF accepting grant applications with updated criteria
NEW ULM — New Ulm Area Foundation (NUAF) is accepting applications for grants as part of its spring grant cycle.
The deadline is March 15, 2026. Applicants may find materials and submit their request online at :newulmareafoundation.org/apply-for-a-grant
In an effort to make even greater community impact, NUAF has updated its focus granting “pillars”. Three of NUAF’s original pillars; the arts, education, and historic preservation will remain in place. The economic development pillar has been updated with the “community enhancement” pillar.
The goal or purpose of the community enhancement pillar is as follows:
• Encourage projects with measurable, sustainable community impact.
• Support emerging, innovative, or cross-sector initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission and that may fall outside existing pillars.
• Foster collaboration and community engagement to strengthen the long-term vitality of the New Ulm area.
This change will allow the Foundation Board to consider a broader array of projects and programs to improve the quality of life in our local area.
Successful applications will follow the published guidelines and document how they will benefit the communities within the geographic area of ISD 88.
New Ulm Area Foundation was established in 1987 to enhance the quality of life in our area through the contributions of people wanting to “give back” to the local community. Its mission is to inspire engagement through generosity and collaboration that creates sustainable impact in the New Ulm area. Its vision: To create a flourishing community in which future generations thrive.
