Lions donate $1,500 to New Ulm Food Shelf

The Lions Club of New Ulm donated $1,500 to the New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf.
The New Ulm Lions also collected and donated 48 pounds of food at their January 8, 2026 general meeting.
The Lions Club International Week of Service was January 3 through the 11. Lions Clubs from all over the world participated in service projects to address hunger. This initiative invites Lions worldwide to address the critical issues of hunger.
The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is continually in need of cash donations and volunteers.
Cash donations can be sent to P O Box 761, New Ulm, MN 56073. To volunteer time, contact board member Gary Roiger at 507-359-9569.

The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is located at 1305 South Valley St. Hours are 12 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
