•Outdoor Rinks and Warming House at Harman open daily from 12-8 p.m.

• Open Broomball is offered from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Civics Center the first and third Wednesday of each month for seasoned players. Everyone is welcome to join. Admission is $5, punch card or membership applies. Limited equipment available.

• Skate the Lights Holiday Glow Night Saturday Dec. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the New Ulm Civic Center. This special event is open to all ages, but those under 10 must be accompanied with an adult. All ice users must be on skates during this event. Children 4 and under are free with paid adult and 5 and up are $7. Rental skates are available for $3.

• The New Ulm Civic is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve celebration, Wednesday, Dec. 31. The family friendly event will feature games, crafts, music and countdown to noon, complete with a festive ball drop. Admission for the even tis free through partnership with the New Ulm Public Library.

• Tot time in the gym is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday and Fridays. Tot Swim is 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays in the shallow only part of the pool. The cost is $3 per tot and includes use of the indoor playground.

• Rec Center Hours: Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open swim is offered Wednesdays 4-6:30 p.m., Fridays 4-8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 12:00-4:00 p.m. Membership, punch card or daily admission applies. Lap swim schedule can be found online.

Wednesday December 24 – Rec Center open 5-11 a.m. Lap swim only 5-9:30 a.m.

Thursday December 25 – all facilities closed. 24/7 users may use their fob to access the fitness center. Friday December 26 – Rec Center open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Lap swim 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Open swim 1-6 p.m.

Wednesday December 31 – Rec Center open 5 a.m.-2 p.m. Lap swim 5 a.m.-1 p.m. and tot swim 9-10:30 a.m.

Thursday January 1 – Rec Center open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Lap swim 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and open swim 12-3 p.m.

Friday January 2 – Rec Center open 5 a.m.-8 p.m. Lap swim 5 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and open swim 1-6 p.m.
