Park & Rec
• The Flannel & Frost teen skate is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the New Ulm Civic Center. Cost is just $7 and rental skates are available for $3. This special event is limited to those 12-18. All ice users must be on skates during this event.
• Santa Skate is 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday Dec 7 at the New Ulm Civic Center. Admission is free with donation to the New Ulm Area Food Shelf.
• December Open Broomball at the Civic Center is the first and third Wednesday of each month. December’s next broomball session will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17. Admission is $5, punch card or membership applies.
• Candy Cane Swim from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday December 21. Ninja Cross offered from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Log Roller from 6 to 8 p.m
• Noon Year’s Eve December 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., New Ulm Civic Center celebration. Join us for games, crafts, music and countdown to noon, complete with a festive ball drop. Admission is free through partnership with the New Ulm Public Library.
• Tot time in the gym is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday and Fridays. Tot Swim is 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays in the shallow only part of the pool. The cost is $3 per tot and includes use of the indoor playground.
• Open skate and open hockey at the Civic Center offered weekly at various times. Check schedules online at https://newulmmn.gov/285/Open-Skate-Hockey-Ice-Skating
• Facility Reservation are available in person at the Rec Center and shelter reservations are now available online.
• Rec Center Hours: Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Open Swim Wednesdays 4-6:30 p.m., Fridays 4-8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 12:00-4:00 p.m. Membership, punch card or daily admission applies. Lap swim schedule can be found online.
