•MEA Activities are scheduled for both Rec Center and Civic Center October 16 and 17. October 16 Open Skate is 12-3 p.m., Open Hockey 12-2:30 p.m., Open Swim is 1-4 p.m. and open volleyball until 5:30 p.m. Friday Open Skate is 12-3 p.m., Open Hockey is 12-2:30 p.m., Open Swim is 1-6:30 p.m. and open volleyball is 11-5 p.m. Open Gym, indoor playground, pickleball and tot times as regularly scheduled. For lap swim or other activities check the online schedule.

•Park Season ends October 13. Crews will begin prepping for winter. Amenities will be limited. Expect bathrooms to be closed. Pickleball nets will remain up as weather allows.

•Civic Center will host special Monster Mash Family Skate and Fright Night Teen Skate Saturday Oct. 25. The Monster Mash Family Skate will be held from 3-5 p.m. and the Fright Night Teen Skate (12-18 years) from 6-8 p.m. The cost is $7 per person, $3 skate rental available.

•Fall Program Registration is open. Registration is available online and at the Rec Center for fall programs.

•Facility Reservations are available in person at the Rec Center and shelter reservations are now available online.

Tot Gym is open 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday and Fridays at the Rec Center gym. Tot Swim is 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the shallow only part of the pool. The cost is $3 per tot and includes use of the indoor playground.

•Rec Center Open Swim Hours: Wednesdays 4-6:30 p.m., Fridays 4-6:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 12:00-3:30 p.m. Membership, punch card or daily admission applies. Lap swim schedule can be found online.

•Rec Center hours: Monday through Thursday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Starting Friday, October 24, the Rec Center will be open until 9 p.m. on Fridays and until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. 

•Herman Monument will close for the season after Sunday, Oct. 12. The monument will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12. The cost to climb the monument is $3 per person.
