SST to hold auditions for ‘Miracle on 34th Street’

State Street Theater is holding auditions for its upcoming holiday production of Miracle on 34th Street, for this December. Performances will run December 5-7, 2025.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again on Monday, September 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at State Street Theater. Possible call-backs will take place on Thursday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m. if needed.

Limited children’s roles are available, open to youth in second grade and older. Young actors should come prepared to tell a joke as part of their audition. Those interested in joining the carolers should be ready to sing a few lines from a favorite Christmas carol.

Older actors will be asked to perform a cold reading from the script, with or without a scene partner, and should also prepare a one-minute monologue. Carolers will be asked to sing a few lines from a Christmas carol of their choice.

Director Justine Hanan encourages performers of all experience levels to audition.
