Wojahn kicks off state DAV second 100 years

Paul Wojahn, the 104, WWII U.S. Marine Corps veteran, leads the Pledge of Allegiance for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) 100 birthday and time capsule sealing event in St. Paul, Tuesday.
ST. PAUL – Paul Wojahn of rural New Ulm leads a special group of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in the Pledge of Allegiance for the DAV of Minnesota’s 100th birthday and time capsule sealing event in St. Paul on Tuesday.
Wojahn is a 104-year-old WWII Combat Veteran of the US Marine Corps and was recently elected as Commander of New Ulm’s DAV Chapter. As the oldest-serving Chapter Commander in Minnesota, he was asked to help the State DAV commemorate its 100th birthday on July 1. The DAV of Minnesota collected mementos from other DAV Chapters in existence since 1925 and other organizations, which were hermetically sealed in a time capsule to be opened on July 1, 2125.
