Cambria Township prepares for 154th annual Fourth of July celebration
CAMBRIA – The heart of the Cambria community will come alive with red, white, and blue as Cambria Township celebrates its 154th consecutive Fourth of July celebration –the longest ongoing tradition of its kind in Minnesota.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 3 with a dazzling fireworks display at 10 p.m. behind the Cambria Town Hall.
The celebration continues on Friday, July 4, with a full day of small-town charm and timeless tradition:
11:45 a.m. – Children’s Games at Cambria Park
12:00 p.m. – Community Potluck Picnic – Bring a dish to share.
1 p.m. – Annual 4th of July Parade – Join the fun as the parade marches through town from the west end. Parade-goers are ask to avoid latex water balloons, instead use water sprayers or other creative ways to keep cool and courteous.
2 p.m. – Patriotic Program at Cambria Town Hall – Experience stirring readings, spirited music, and a crowd-favorite Community Sing-Along.
Fancy Cake Auction Immediately Following – Bid on some of the most festive, flavorful cakes this side of the Minnesota River.
Stay for the grand finale: Live music in the park with DD and Rosco. Guests are encouraged to pack a cooler, chairs and settle in for a hometown concert.
