Financial fraud seminar offer
NEW ULM – With concern of financial scams and fraud on the rise a special seminar on prevention, Wednesday, May 28.
The seminar will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The seminar will be followed by a free lunch.
The seminar is designed to educate the community on recognizing, preventing, and responding to financial fraud, a growing threat affecting individuals and businesses alike. Attendees will gain valuable insights from experts on how to protect themselves from scams and fraudulent activities.
“Financial fraud and scams have become an invasive species, and the best way to protect ourselves and one another is to stay informed,” said Mark Santelman of Santelman Insurance, organizer of the workshop. “Everybody in banking, law enforcement, or human services involved in fighting this scourge has committed to participating. I’m grateful for their support and excitement. Everyone’s goal on the panel is to give people simple, practical information so they can recognize scams and keep themselves safe.”
This event is open to all community members and is offered at no cost. Families are encouraged to attend together to learn how to safeguard their finances effectively. NUCAT will be recording the seminar for rebroadcasting for those who cannot attend.
