Legion Fish Fry today is take-out only

NEW ULM — Th American Legion Club of New Ulm is holding its annual Fish Dinner today from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Due to the coronavirus concern, only take-out orders will be served.

Hub Club Farm Show door prize winners announced

NEW ULM — Fourteen people won door prizes awarded by the Hub Club at the New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club Farm Show held Friday and Saturday, March 6-7.

Four people won fire extinguishers and four won carbon monoxide detectors donated by Hub Club members Community Insurance of Lafayette, Joe Maidl Auctioneering & Real Estate of Lafayette, and Don Sanderson State Farm Insurance of New Ulm.

Winning fire extinguishers were Bonnie Rabe of Winthrop, Donna Gutzmer of Glencoe, Betty Portner of New Ulm, and Kevin Bruns of Lafayette. Winning carbon monoxide detectors were Gene Rodewald, Chuck Beitlich, David Gravley, and Marvin Drexler, all of New Ulm.

Four farmers won grain bin safety harnesses, donated by manufacturer 3M of New Ulm. Those winners were Dale Windschitl and Roger Schneider of Sleepy Eye, Don Mathiowetz of Springfield, and Bob Sievert of Gibbon.

And, finally, two lucky kids won prizes donated by Miller-Sellner of Sleepy Eye. Winning the toy combine was Karson Hoffman of New Ulm and winning a ranch set was Liera Barnes, also of New Ulm.

Winners who have not picked up their door prizes can do so at Sanderson’s insurance office, 1600 North Broadway, New Ulm.

The Farm-City Hub Club thanks everyone who attended the show, as well as the venders who made the 39th Annual New Ulm Farm Show a big success. Attendance was steady throughout the show.
