Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet to play

NEW ULM — The Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet will perform on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library. The quintet, which includes members Craig Brenden, Thomas Bierer, Steve Spieker, Dave Stordalen and Al Tonn, will play holiday-themed music that is filled with hope, energy and fun. Seating is first come, first served for this free program.

German Caroling invitation

NEW ULM — This is an open invitation to persons interested in celebrating Christmas Day with German Christmas carols. Members of the German Speaking Club, Concord Singers, and local community will sing Weihnachtslieder as a prelude to the 8 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Christmas Day, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Rehearsals will be held three Mondays in December, all from 7-8 p.m., including a final run-through at 7 a.m. Christmas morning.

Dates tentatively are Dec. 2, 9, and 16. Practice will be in the basement of Cathedral. For more information call Harvey Stadick at 507-359-4114.
