Drew’s Crew ColorFest Run/Walk Sept. 7

NEW ULM — Drew’s Crew Benefit and 5K ColorFest Run/Walk will take place Saturday, Sept. 7, beginning with the Run/Walk at 11 a.m. in Harman Park. Run or walk individually or with a team, and you can register that morning.

Wear white, because along the route you’ll be doused with color and end the Run/Walk looking like a rainbow. Don’t worry — all the dye is cornstarch based and washes out with a few washings.

In addition to the Run/Walk there will be a celebration at Harman Park with food, a DJ from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and a live auction at 1:30 p.m.

Proceeds are to help defray the huge cost of medication for Drew Aufderheide, who has a rare and incurable form of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Come for the fun, and be sure to stay for the Hermannfest festivities and fireworks following Drew’s Crew. Check out DrewsCrew.org for more information.

Drive-In Movie at the Public Library

NEW ULM — New Ulm Public Library is holding its first ever Drive-In Movie for children ages 2 to 4 years old on Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. in the meeting room. You are invited to decorate a car, park it in front of the big screen, and enjoy a small snack and a half hour video with us. All materials will be provided.
