Humane Society fundraiser Saturday
NEW ULM — Brown County Humane Society is holding a plant and bake sale on Satursday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Brown Music Store, 2212 S. Broadway.
Deutscher Sprachklub meets Sunday
The New Ulm Deutscher Sprachklub will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at the Pizza Ranch, 1927 S. Broadway.
All are welcome to start beforehand at Pizza Ranch’s buffet. Any and all are welcome to join and try their luck or just listen to New Ulm German. Any level of German are welcome and there is no fee. The goal is to have fun and facilitate the language and culture.
Lego Club at the Library
NEW ULM — The New Ulm Public Library announces the return of Lego Club on Thursday, May 23. Children ages 5 and up are invited to join to build amazing creations from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The Lego Club will meet next June during the Summer Reading Program. Round Table topic: Lincoln and the railroads
NEW ULM — Local historian Bryce Stenzel will present “Lincoln and the Railroads” at the Minnesota Valley Civil War Round Table on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. The Minnesota Valley Civil War Round Table series is presented the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library and is free and open to the public.
