Turner Ladies Annual Sauerkraut Supper is Thursday
NEW ULM — ON Thursday, Sept. 27, the Turner Ladies will be serving their Sauerkraut for the 59th year.
In 1956 the charge per meal was $1. This year the charge is $10. In 62 years the price has increased by merely $9.
In 2010 deliveries were implemented, dinners are delivered to private homes, apartments, assisted living facilities and local factories. Orders should be placed by Wednesday, Sept. 26. for delivery please call 507-276-5798 to leave a message. Deliveries begin at 4 p.m..
In 2012 an express carry-out line was created. Use the parking lot; enter the building straight to the Founders Room and you will be served quickly; in and out in less than 5 minutes!
The dinner consists of; sauerkraut, Landjaegers, mashed potatoes, rye bread, dessert, and beverage.
This event always takes place the last Thursday of September.
