Better Breathers Club April 19

NEW ULM — The next Better Breathers Club of New Ulm meeting will feature Brittany Thelemann, PharmD, giving a presentation on, “Inhaled Therapy” The meeting will be held Thursday, April 19, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the New Ulm Medical Center Auditorium 2. For closest entry, park on the 3rd floor parking lot at rear of hospital off North 5th Street or enter main hospital or clinic entrances and request wheelchair assistance if needed.

Swedish concert in Bernadotte

BERNADOTTE — The Vettern College of Music in Jonkoping, Sweden has chosen to return to Bernadotte to present its sixth concert in ten years. The 40-member choir will sing at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, rural Lafayette, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 24. The program, entitled “Nordic Voices,” will feature choral music from various musical traditions.

The public is invited to the concert. A free will offering will be accepted to help the choir defray its expenses.

Perkins, Hanska Library team up on “Dining for Dollars”

NEW ULM — On Monday, April 16, Perkins in New Ulm will team with the Hanska Community Library on a “Dining for Dollars” library fund raiser. This runs from 4 to 10 p.m..

Order as usual , but when you pay cashier, mention that you are there for library. This allows Perkins to know how many people actually arrive for the fund raisers. The Hanska Community Library director will be there to answer any questions. Any library proceeds go to the renovation/move to new permanent site.
