German Language Class offered

NEW ULM — District 88 Community Education is offering an intensive German language class from 6-8:15 p.m. the week of Oct. 23-27. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, 6 to 8:15 p.m. in the Washington Learning Center Room #104. Cost is $180.

The class will provide people with the opportunity to learn and practice speaking German from the ground up, no prior experience necessary. The class will focus on speaking and communication skills you will be able use for travel or daily life in Germany. All ages and language abilities are welcome to this introduction to German life, culture, and traditions.

The class dates- Monday – Friday 6 p.m.-8:15 p.m. in the Washington Learning Center Room #104 (enter door #1)

New Ulm Garden Club

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Garden Club will meet on Wed, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at the home of Deb Steinberg at 6 Park Lane in New Ulm. We will discuss our summer events and successes and failures of this years gardens. After a short business meeting, we will learn to make fresh pesto, and will have sampling. All are welcome.
