New Ulm Deutscher Sprachklub meeting

NEW ULM – The New Ulm Deutscher SprachKlub (German Language Club) will meet Sunday, Aug 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the German-Bohemian Heritage Society (GBHS) Library located at 1200 South Broadway (rear entrance) in New Ulm.

All are welcome, both adults and students. There is no fee. The Klub’s mission is to facilitate the spoken German language and to continue German culture. The Klub, now 9 months old, draws about 25 participants to each meeting from a wide area including Springfield, Sleepy Eye, Nicollet, Clement, and Gibbon. All will begin speaking German from the outset.

The Klub is arranged into three conversational groups with people of similar deutsch language skills. Advanced for fluent speakers; Intermediate for people with good skills who want to practice listening and speaking; and Limited for those with some basic ability and who need help. (Note: This is not appropriate for people with no German skills. This is not a school.)
